This dialectical conversation – question, answer – leads to a finale, that is, some form of truth. This is exactly the method Socrates used with his students, showing them how concepts work and guiding them towards their correct understanding. Even back then, when AI tools were very imperfect and required a lot of attention and knowledge, I was of the opinion that this method is perfect for guiding this randomized machine towards our semantics, which yielded the best results. Contrary to appearances, this is not an easy method because it requires thinking and an iterative approach, but by narrowing the model down to what is provided and the context molded in the conversation, the model won’t drift away into other semantic realms or statistically invent a model recipient for itself.
